  Through the end of April, the MSCI World ESG Leader Index – top constituents include the likes of Microsoft, Alphabet, Johnson & Johnson and Roche Holdings – outperformed its non-ESG equivalent by 1.1 percentage points. The Emerging Markets ESG Leaders and Europe ESG Leaders Indexes outperformed peers by 1.6 and 0.6 percentage points, respectively. These performances are in stark contrast to the beginning of the year, when all three indexes saw slightly weaker returns versus their non-ESG counterparts.
