Fascinating the contrast between the Blue Impulse fly over in Japan and flyovers in New York earlier this month. Perhaps because of their comeback story from 3/11 in Miyagi prefecture and less polarized politics and society in Japan it was a big success everyone seemed to enjoy.
In New York the biggest comment was, why are we wasting money on this show when our hospitals and frontline workers need PPE? Either way showing our appreciation for the medical staff in this virus battle is always a good thing!

ここニューヨークでは、最前線で働く医療従事者の医療防護服が一番必要な時に何故飛行ショーに予算を費やすのかといったコメントが多かった。いずれにしても、新型コロナへの対応を続ける医師や看護師に敬意を示すのは良いことだ!

といった類いの話もたまに聞きますし,ブルーインパルスが飛んでない時も,意識して上を向くのは良いのかもしれません。
・・そんなコメントを書いたところで,見たかったという気持ちは消化しきれませんが(笑)
今日はブルーインパルスの描く飛行機雲に勇気をもらった。

正直、こんな風に派手にやって欲しくはない
医療従事者も、感謝されたくてやっているというよりは、仕事だからやらざるを得ない部分も大きいわけで、こんなことしてほしかったかと言われれば微妙なところではないでしょうか
ブルーインパルスは好きだし、見れて嬉しかった人も多くいると思うけど
