  “With Corona” might be the effective way to drive efficiency in the workplace.
  
  Before COVID-19, meetings and communications have primarily been done by “gathering” together in person. Before or after the meeting, many people engage in “”small talk” and a 2 hour meeting easily becomes 3 or 4 hours of expended time.
  
  Now, with Corona, the gathering in person and small talk surrounding video conferences is less, unless it is scheduled. Don’t misunderstand, I believe that gathering together, even on video is important and that small talk can be a critical “bonding” time with colleagues.
  
  However, when you think about the time that is saved once the video conference is over and you find yourself moving on to the next project at home, I can make the connection with how the extra time can be used more efficiently and effectively With Corona.

  忖度はいらないけど雑談はいるな、と思って読んでいたら少し違う話でした。
  全員の顔が見える、をポジティブに捉える人もいればこの記事のようにこんな感じでネガティヴに捉える人もいるんですね。
  
  リモートワークに限らず、働き方改革の話が出てから長時間の会議の見直しはされてきたはずです。それでもなかなか進まなかったのが、今回のリモートワークを通して実現したのはいい面ではないかなと思います。
  
  ちなみにこの記事に書かれていることとは違いますが、オフィスでの雑談がなくなるのはリモートワークの残念なところ。ZoomやHangouts Meetsを繋ぎっぱなしにするなど、色々な取り組みが出てきているので試していきたいですね。

  慣れの問題ですね。
  
  無駄な時間が短くなる、人の話をちゃんと聞くなど、新しい会議のスタイルで、若干の緊張感を感じている。
  
  今まで蔓延していた生産性の低い会議が、変わるのは良いことですよね。雑談は参加者が慣れれば、リモートでもできますよ。
  
  コロナが終息した後、リアルの会議も大きく改善されることを望みます。同時に、本当の意味で多様な働き方にも対応したいですね。
