世界のラグビー界に投げかけられている問いは、日本をこれからどう扱うかだ。今後の4年間、今の日本ラグビーのレベルより低いチームと戦わせるのか？それともSix NationsやRugby Championshipで戦わせるのか？日本ラグビーがこれまで築いてきた素晴らしいもの、満員のスタジアム、何百万人ものテレビ視聴者、ラグビーに夢中になっている国民、それをさらに育てていくにはこれ（Six Nationsなどに参加を認めること、を指していると思う）が唯一の道だろう。もし世界のラグビー界がこの素晴らしい状態をさらに守り育てないのであれば、それは極めて恥ずべき事、日本ラグビーへの侮辱ともいえるだろう
